About Euroimmun AG
EUROIMMUN AG manufactures and develops diagnostics and reagents in the field of diagnostics of autoimmune diseases, microbiological serology and allergology. There is a wide repertoire of methods in all areas: Immunofluorescence methods, ELISA kits, Westernblot, Euroline. The trademarked MicroChip technique is unique and special, in which case the serum of the autoimmune patient can be examined on tissue chips applied side by side on a slide, and a differential diagnosis can be made based on the tissue binding of the antibodies. Molecular biology products are being developed.
ELISA Diagnostics
EUROIMMUN has the widest range of tests in the field of autoimmune and microbiological diagnostics. The EUROIMMUN ELISA kits are characterized by excellent stability, easy handling and short incubation time, ideal for automated use. All reagents are supplied in ready-to-use form
(no dilution required) and can be interchanged between batches and kit varieties.
The test is simple and easy to perform:
– the plate contains breakable strips, each
the abbreviation antigen is printed on a strip
– reagents need not be diluted (except for
washing buffer)
– the reagents are color-coded
– the buffer of ELISAs used in infection serology contains an IgG/RF absorbent
– several tests can be performed simultaneously in one frame, since the incubation times are
the same
– incubation: at room temperature
– compatible with all washing and Elisa-reader instruments
BIOCHIP technology
It allows for extreme miniaturization and
standardization of immunobiochemical analyses.
BIOCHIP Mosaics™ is made from tissue fragments,
cell cultures or purified antigens (EUROPLUS™)
obtained from 30 or more different organs, with
minimal incubation required to detect the patient’s
antibody profile.
IF
A wide range of immunofluorescence tests are available. Euroimmune IF tests are made with Biochip technology. The tissues, cell cultures and bacterial smears to be examined are placed on special membranes and cut into tiny squares using slicing machines, which are called "biochips". Then, with the help of a computer, individual tissues are analyzed and those that can be used as antigens are selected. These biochips are glued to the slide. The reaction is also called special. Titerplane technique.
A simple but witty device is needed, a reagent holder, the patient's serum is dropped not on the tissues, but on this reagent holder. Slides shall be placed on this reagent holder so that the tissues are in contact with the reagents applied. As the reagents are contained in a confined space, there is no need to use a wet chamber. This method allows many samples to be incubated in parallel under the same conditions. 25 microliters of 100x diluted serum are required for implementation. Incubation time: 30 minutes; 30 minutes
EUROStar Fluorescent Microscope
Blot techniques
The innovative processes developed by EUROIMMUN, EUROASSAY and EUROLINE also follow the testing of ELISA methods, combined with the advantages of BIOCHIP technology. At EUROASSAY, purified antigens are attached to membrane strips in parallel lines at specific positions. After incubation, users can visually evaluate the results without a reading device. These reagents can be used in particular to isolate auto-antibodies that cannot be clearly identified by microscopic indirect immunofluorescence.
EUROASSAY and EUROLINE are also used in laboratories where no ELISA reader or fluorescence microscope is available, but they are also excellent for validating Ifés ELISA tests.
EUROLINE
– contains purified, biochemically characterized antigens applied to membrane strips
– if the sample is positive, specific antibodies in serum are absorbed into the membrane
antigen-bound
– the total reaction time is approx. 105 minutes
– full incubation can be performed at room temperature
– the antigen strips are in a specific position, significantly easier
easier to evaluate than a Western blot, no evaluation template required
– the control strip on the blot indicates that the test is working properly
EUROIMMUN produces a wide range of Westernblots and reagents to confirm IF and ELISA results. The westernblot tests also help to clarify the difficult-to-interpret results we get in autoimmune diagnostics, infectious serology and allergology. Refined electrophoretic procedures have been developed to accurately separate antibodies of diagnostic value. Unit- based, special templates have been developed, so band samples can be evaluated.
EUROLineScan program
It allows for computer-based evaluation of tests, simplifies the archiving of results, and allows
quick retrieval of results. EUROLineScan software was developed by EUROImun IT
specialists for the automatic evaluation of blot tests. It eliminates the evaluation difficulties
caused by the subjectivity of the human eye. Advantages:
– fast and accurate
– gives a quantitative result
– data can be stored digitally, results can be retrieved
– the program can be connected to a hospital network
The hardware requirements of the software are average and can be installed on virtually any
existing computer. We provide the software and the scanner for evaluation free of charge to
the users.
